MY STORY
HI, My name is Joyce and I am the owner of GIOJOSO. I started the company because I was looking for the highest quality and safest products to help me with my various health situations. I have had 4 lower back surgeries including 2 fusions and was looking at a 3rd fusion. I’ve had rotator cuff surgery, tennis elbow surgery.. I suffer from very bad sinus congestion and headaches due to year- round allergies – diagnosed as non-allergic rhinitis – which means I will react to mold, pollen, grasses, trees, changes between heat and cold, spicy foods – to name a few - and it can't be treated. I can only manage the symptoms.

I can’t say when or if I’ll ever get off my prescriptions; but I don’t like the side affects including a severe weight gain from having taken a prescription for a misdiagnosed neuropathy. So, once I heard about CBD, I began my personal search only to find there’s so much information out there, there’s a lot of products, and it’s confusing and misleading without published research and approved guidelines on dosage.

One thing I do know about myself is that once I start a project, I don’t stop until it’s complete. I just wanted a healthier alternative and additional relief from some of my symptoms, I wanted to be able to play with my grandchildren, my dogs, go to work regularly and start having some fun!

So GIOJOSO was born!

I am now managing the inflammation in my lower back as well as the inflammation in my sinuses. I don't even notice my anxiety. I sleep better, have more energy and actually find myself happier; and yes, I'm still on my prescriptions. My beloved dog, Bella, even has less joint problems.

Now I know you want to know how I came up with that name, right? I had 3 criteria – it had to be one word; I wanted my company’s name to make my customers to feel happy and lastly, it had to be available to form my business, my website domain and social media accounts. So, after an exhaustive search, I found the name. I was totally surprised how easily it all came together.

GIOJOSO means lively, merry, joyful. It’s actually a musical term;, but it was perfect for me.

WHY GIOJOSO?
What we found after performing thorough research regarding growing hemp, the history and benefits of CBD, reviewing clinical research and federal and state regulations, studying the market and competition, reviewing types of products and testing a lot of products is that we were going to have to carry our own line of products using the strictest of criteria for the sourcing, extraction and manufacturing of our product line.

Hemp: The hemp used in our products is organically grown in Colorado and Kentucky under the state and USDA regulated Industrial Hemp Pilot Research Program which has the strictest seed-to-harvest regulations. The hemp is organic and non-GMO (not genetically modified). Anyone who wants to grow, handle, process or market hemp must submit an application, undergo an annual criminal background check and receive a license from either the Colorado or the Kentucky Department of Agriculature. Independent 3rd party lab testing is required from seed-to-harvest including random checks of the crop during growing season.

Extraction process: Our hemp is processed using super critical CO2 extraction. This means that carbon dioxide is used for the extraction of CBD. Its main advantage over other solvents such as hexane and acetone is that it is non-toxic and non-flammable. GIOJOSO uses pure isolate for our products. The extraction process leaves a product free of taste or odor. The end result of this processing is a 99.4% pure CBD isolate with 0% THC. Our CBD is 100% compliant with all state and federal regulations. This isolate undergoes independent 3rd party testing for THC, chemical residues, and is guaranteed to be free of contaminants.

Why CBD isolates: Simply put, hemp CBD isolate is cannabidiol in its purest form possible. All the plant matter contained in the hemp plant, including oils, waxes, chlorophyll, and terpenes are removed. CBD isolate powder is the purest, most powerful punch of CBD you can get your hands on.

You may wonder why we don’t carry full or broad spectrum products which many will claim gives you the most benefits through the “entourage affect”. The “entourage affect” is the impact of getting the full plant interacting with the CBD.
There are 3 reasons GIOJOSO carries isolates: First, full spectrum contains trace amounts of THC. Even if it meets federal guidelines which is less than .3%, a person can still test positive. Second, I run my online store from Kansas and our state law specifies I can only sell CBD products with 0% THC – which is my preference. Lastly, and this is what makes GIOJOSO's products stand out above other company's products, is the majority of GIOJOSO's products are uniquely formulated with proven ingredients, specific terpenes and our pure CBD isolate. GIOJOSO carries 2 products (a tincture and a capsule) which may help you sleep better as our products include melatonin, Valerian root, CBD plus terpenes such as limonene, delta3, carnene, and citral. You can find sleep products at your local store with melatonin but without CBD; and in the CBD marketplace, you won't find products with our exact formulation or any formulation.

Another example is our rich, anti-aging, antioxidant cream. Our skin cream is a unique formulation of Swiss Apple Stem Cells, Jojoba oil and olive oil and terpenes infused with our pure CDB. Your finest, high-end, anti-aging creams may have Swiss Apple Stem Cells, but it won’t have CDB.;and in the CBD marketplace, you will CBD skin creams that won't have our unique formula.

GMP Certified Manufacturer: Our manufacturer is GMP certified. The acronym stands for Good Manufacturing Practices, and to be GMP certified means that the manufacturer has demonstrated a strong regulatory commitment and compliance to international GMP standards.

FDA Registered Facility: Our manufacturing occurs in an FDA registered facility. This means that the facility has been inspected by the FDA within the past two years. Manufacturing facilities need to prove to the FDA that they have a facility in compliance with current GMP standards (cGMP). The specific inspection group is the CDER Group (Center for Drug Evaluation and Research) or the FDA Office of Compliance. Their inspectors regularly perform a full systems-based cGMP inspection on facility.

Labeling: Our manufacturing facility is licensed in a state with the highest labeling regulations in the U.S. What is stated on the label must match the lab certificates.
